2024 LeadingAge Leadership Award

This new honor will be presented at the 2024 LeadingAge Leadership Summit, April 15–17, in Washington, DC. Nominations must be submitted by February 23. 

Overview

The LeadingAge Leadership Award recognizes an individual at any level within a member organization whose unique leadership attributes have made a significant difference in their organization. The recipient demonstrates dedication to developing strong teams and leaders, and delivering exceptional quality services aligned with their organization’s mission and LeadingAge’s values. The honoree will also be someone who drives change within their organization or local community, especially in ways that can be quantified or measured.

About the Award

Nominations should provide:

  • Specific examples of exceptional and measurable or evidenced practices;
  • Letters of support and recommendation from (i) a direct report and (ii) older adult(s) or their family members who receive the leader’s exceptional services.
  • Specific details about how the nominee influences their organization and/or community, and how it advances your organizational mission.

To be eligible, a nominee must be a leader at some level of a current LeadingAge member organization. Preference will be given to individuals who are in mid-level positions.

Nominees should be active members of the LeadingAge community and be able to accept the award in-person in Washington, D.C. April 15–17 at the 2024 LeadingAge Leadership Summit.

In addition to the above examples of great leadership, please provide two letters of support/recommendation: a letter completed by a direct report and a letter completed by an older adult or family member.
